The Endlessness

AI Dungeon Master for D&D™ 5e

Roll for Initiative

A D&D 5e campaign that lives in your conversation. You write what you do, in your own words. The Dungeon Master writes back.

The throne room is silent except for the creak of your armor. The king's body lies cold on the stone floor. Above the throne, the crown hovers in mid-air, cracked down the center, leaking light like a wound.

I reach for it.

The crown screams. Not a sound you hear with your ears. A sound that lives in your bones. Your vision whites out.

Wisdom Saving ThrowDC 14

The crown's scream claws at your mind. Hold on to yourself.

SUCCESS

You hold. Barely. The scream fades. The crown drifts lower, trembling, as if deciding whether to trust you. Every torch in the room has gone out. The only light is the gold bleeding from the fracture.

The Shattered Crown watercolour

The Shattered Crown

A Cosy Corner of Classic Fantasy

The village of Thornfield, the Whispering Woods, and a crown broken into five pieces. Warm, whimsical, and kind to first-time adventurers. Its dungeons run deep: the Bramble Hollow Den, and a Shattered Keep where Krag the Foul holds Isla Ash captive.

The crown fragment pulses with a cold light. Something in the dark growls.

Brightvale

A Dark-Fantasy Frontier

A living darkness called the Umbra devours the world beyond the holy light of the Beacon. Make your name as a Venturer out of the fortress-town of Emberfort, and follow the truth of the Apostasy all the way down. Three campaigns carry you from your first descent to the fall of empires.

The Umbra stretches to the horizon. Beyond it, nothing returns.

Old Armis

A Bronze Age of Seafaring and Empire

Four hundred years before Brightvale fell, oar-and-sail galleys charted waters that should not exist. Wonder and intrigue above, a cosmic dread waiting past the edge of the map. Sail from the floating sea-city of Pattis, play the great powers of Athregal and Ziramat against each other, and end where mortals contend with life, death, and divinity itself. Four campaigns, all the way to level 20.

The chart ends in open water. The captain keeps sailing.

Spoken into Existence

Describe any world you can imagine, up to four thousand characters of it, and the DM treats your description as canon. High fantasy, grimdark, comedy, political intrigue: the tone, the era, and the rules of the setting are yours to declare.

You stand at the edge of a world that does not yet exist. Speak, and it will.

Import a campaign

Upload a campaign you bought, downloaded, or wrote yourself. The Endlessness reads the whole document and builds a private, playable world from it: its places, characters, factions, and quests. Then you pick a hero and step in.

Sella wipes the harbor rain off her crossbow and looks you over, unimpressed. "You're the one sailing past the edge of the chart? You'll want someone who can shoot straight when the water starts glowing. I work for shares and I don't cook."

Welcome aboard, Sella.

She joins the party. Sella, Sidekick Expert, level 3: crossbow +5, Cunning Action, and strong opinions about your rigging. Her sheet is one tap away, and she levels when you do.

Word of Mouth

I'm from the UK, and have just moved to a new town, so finding DnD groups is tough, so your website has been incredible to fill the gap. I'm surprised more people don't know about it!
I started play ADnD in the 80s, and I absolutely love this game. The descriptive text from the DM is beautiful. I'm playing a paladin, and the DM responds well to my role playing. I've established two churches, got a big congregation and converted one of my party. It handles my battle tactics for the party really well too, and allows me to think outside the box. When I had a few magic swords, I asked a blacksmith to reforge some of them into a magic shield. Brilliant!
I've been trying your AI DM and its probably the best and easiest one to use. It actually respect dnd rules and has a long term memory unlike other AIs.
