Living towns

The towns woke up. Villages, taverns, and shops now have their own faces and their own stock, and the folk in them actually remember you, which is lovely if you tip well and deeply awkward if you robbed the place last Tuesday. Befriend them, haggle with them, or thoroughly annoy them, and they will hold onto every bit of it for next time.

Rolling a hero got friendlier too. With Choose-a-Hero you can pick a ready-made adventurer, hand-painted portrait and all, and stride straight into the story. Your character sheet, your spells, and the whole creation wizard also got a fresh coat of polish, because heroes deserve nice things.

New
  • Choose-a-Hero creation. Pick a ready-made hero with hand-painted art and jump straight into the story.
  • NPCs and shopkeepers now remember you. Befriend them, haggle with them, or annoy them, and they will act like it next time.
Improved
  • Villages, taverns, and shops feel more alive, each with their own faces and stock.
  • A polished character sheet, cleaner spell views, and a smoother creation wizard.

A smoother start

We timed it, and rolling up a hero the long way was taking roughly one geological age. So we built Express creation: blank page to first adventure in a couple of taps, for the people who would like to start stabbing things now and sort out their tragic backstory later.

Meanwhile your Dungeon Master went and got thoughtful, spinning richer scenes and making sharper calls at the table. And the higher-level casters, who had been quietly robbed of half their spells, got every last one of them back, with our sincere apologies and a small ceremonial bow.

New
  • Express creation. Go from blank page to first adventure in a couple of taps.
Improved
  • Your Dungeon Master is sharper and more thoughtful, with richer scenes and better calls at the table.
  • A redesigned character creation flow that is much easier to follow.
Fixed
  • Higher-level spellcasters now get every spell they are owed.

You're not alone

Adventuring solo is very romantic for about one dungeon, and then you would quite like someone else to hold the torch. So we gave you a party. Recruit companions and followers who fight beside you, talk back at you, and traipse along the road with opinions of their very own.

There is also a whole new stretch of the world to go and get lost in: Old Armis, which is exactly as warm and welcoming as any place with the word 'Old' in its name tends to be.

New
  • Party and follower system. Recruit companions who fight, talk, and travel alongside you.
  • A whole new region to explore: Old Armis.
Improved
  • Cleaner, more readable storytelling from the DM.

Class acts

It turns out a Barbarian and a Wizard probably should not play identically, a thing we now believe extremely strongly. Every class got its own toys and tricks, so your class finally plays like the thing written on the tin.

Buffs and conditions grew up too. Blessings, poisons, and the whole glorious menagerie of 'why do I suddenly feel like this' now tick along turn by turn, keeping honest track of exactly how blessed or cursed you happen to be at any given moment.

New
  • Class-specific abilities across the board, so every class plays like itself.
  • A proper buff and condition system. Blessings, poisons, and everything in between now track turn by turn.

Combat that flows

Combat used to move at the stately pace of a subcommittee meeting. Not anymore. We overhauled the entire scrum with cleaner hit points and tidier turns, and your attacks now resolve on their own, so you can swing the sword without also filling in the sword's paperwork.

We also opened an item catalogue, so your loot, your gear, and your steadily growing hoard of gold finally live somewhere you can actually find them again.

New
  • Player attacks resolve automatically, so you swing and see the result without the fuss.
  • An item catalog, so loot, gear, and gold are easy to browse and manage.
Improved
  • A combat overhaul with cleaner HP tracking and turn handling.

The full spellbook

The wizards filed a formal complaint, and for once it was entirely valid: half the spellbook was missing. So we finished it. Every class, every level, every spell now present and accounted for, with a proper picker that shows you what a spell actually does before you use it to set the tavern alight.

We also added campaign notes that save themselves, because 'the innkeeper was named Gerald, or Gerard, or possibly Steve' is a shaky foundation for a five-session revenge arc.

New
  • Complete spell coverage for all classes and levels.
  • A spell picker with previews, descriptions, and tooltips, so you always know what you are casting.
  • Per-campaign notes with autosave. Jot down clues, names, and grudges without losing them.

Plans and your account

Every tavern eventually slides you the tab, and so, gently, did we. Plans arrived for the adventurers who wanted more turns in a day, more campaigns on the go, and more character slots to hoard heroes in. Nobody is dragged to the counter, though; the free road stays wide open.

We also handed you the keys to your own account, with real email verification and a one-tap way to vanish completely, should you ever decide this whole heroism business is not for you. And the whole place got a good deal steadier underfoot.

New
  • Subscription plans for more turns, more campaigns, and more character slots.
  • Account tools, including email verification and one-tap account deletion.
Improved
  • A steadier, more reliable experience across the board.

Sharper steel, first realm

Four days after the doors opened, we handed you a proper place to get into trouble: Brightvale, a full campaign with plenty of its own trouble to go poking at. Combat and spellcasting grew teeth, leveling up stopped being a spreadsheet and became a small guided ceremony, and a great deal of polish was lovingly rubbed into every corner.

Was it rather a lot for one week? It was. Did anyone sleep? Sort of. No.

New
  • The Brightvale campaign, a full adventure to sink your teeth into.
  • A guided level-up flow that walks you through every new feature and spell.
Improved
  • Deeper combat and spellcasting, with more of D&D 5e supported.
  • A big coat of polish across the whole app.

The gates open

In the beginning there was a blank character sheet, and it was good, mostly. The Endlessness opened its doors with a Dungeon Master who never cancels on you, never forgets a rule, and never, ever fudges a roll to spare your feelings. Roll up a hero, wander into a real fight with initiative, conditions, and death saves, and sling any of 340+ spells while the dice clatter out in the open where everyone can see them.

And when you log off, the world does not politely freeze in place. It remembers what you did, who you wronged, and that barrel you very much did not need to set on fire.

New
  • An AI Dungeon Master that runs complete D&D 5e adventures.
  • Full character creation across classes and species.
  • A complete combat system with initiative, conditions, and death saves.
  • 340+ spells with full mechanics.
  • Dice that roll in the open and never get fudged.
  • Persistent worlds that remember what you did.
